What is Bandwidth?
It is the amount of data that can be sent from
one computer to another through a particular
connection in a certain amount of time.
For example when a customer is viewing your
website, his computer is requesting data from the
server and therefore this information request is
calculated in your monthly bandwidth report.
What is calculated in the Bandwidth report?
- File transfers to the server (Ex: Uploading
files to the server)
- File transfers from the server (Ex:
Downloading files from the server)
- Data sent to the server (Ex: Reception of
your emails)
- File requests from the web (Ex: A link that
permits users to download a file from your
website)
