Here is the procedure on how to connect to your web
site using the FTP protocol with Cute_FTP.
1- Open the software and click on the "open"
button.
2- Enter a label name, the address of your web site,
your username, password, the port must be 21, and click
on "connect".
3- If you are hosted on our Unix servers,
you will immediately be in the web folder. If you are hosted on our cobalt, you
will need to go up 2 levels, at the root, to have access
to the "web" folder. For these 2 types of
hosting, you can directly go to step #5. Finally, you
are hosted on our Windows server, you will need to
change the directory to the "web" folder. To do
this, please follow steps #3 and #4.
4- Enter you domain name prefixed with "FTP"
as mentioned below.
5- When your FTP connection is established, you will
need to transfer (upload) your files to your web space.
To do so, select the files from the left part and click
on the arrow.
